Transportation systems contribute to climate change through emissions. In return, climate change effects transportation systems as climate trends affect the design of transport infrastructure. Severe rain and flooding during the past few years has damaged roads, bridges, and vehicles. Part of the approach in addressing the issue of emissions is changing our reliance on fossil fuels and turning to lower emission producing transportation.
The Green Planet Project will soon unveil its findings in testing economical electronic motorbike conversion kits that can be distributed worldwide. More than 50% of all motorcycles in the world are in the Asia-Pacific and Southern and Eastern Asia regions, and in many countries they are the most common motor vehicle. Converting what are typically utilitarian motorcycles worldwide will be the right step in combating climate change.
